Sacred Spaces is a sound installation that captures, processes and plays back the architectural sound of the space in which is installed.  Sound is architecture of the mind, given narrative and history.  The system is specifically tuned to a react to the space in which it is installed.

The piece was devised for a group show of the same name at West Park Episcopalian Church at Amsterdam Avenue at 111th St., in New York City.  It occupied the stairwell of the church, recording and algorithmically processing community activities within.  Since this initial showing, Sacred Spaces has been exhibited at numerous venues, including the Chelsea Art Museum, NYC.
